Food for thought...

Even the gleaming eyes of wisdom can be intoxicated into the bitter red of inebriation when ignorance is at hand. The impairment of delicate emotion can dizzy the mind off the straight line of rational thought, and onto the cold floor of loneliness and separation in disagreement. So, we shun our strengths and favor our weaknesses, creating a world void of knowledge’s light. Intellectual iniquity swallows us whole as we end each opinion in uncertainty and insecurity, taking all opposition as personal affronts to our very being, instead of discussing beliefs through scholarly advocacy and argument. And, in our last days, we’ll look back into reality knowing that the only reason we never fell off of that line is because we never stood up for anything to begin with.

Yeah, my livejournal seems to be slipping into one a lot lately. Well. Always! lol

Cant help it, I'm just not a person who tends to maintain these kind of blogs and thingies. However, I'm having one of my really weird days again. Just browsin' through the web and I came across a list of "1001 books you must have read before you die". No idea, WHY I should have read these books before I die, but hey - I liked the title and since I'm fond of books anyway - Why not?
I have been getting my fair share of vampires, witches and wizards lately.. Why not move on to some other books and keep my Harry Potter and Twilight books beautiful?

It was FREAKIN' awesome. Totally gross but hey, such great irony. Watch Johnny Depp kill people with his barbery-knife (I have no idea what the word is in English and I'm totally NOT bothered to go look it up) while singing a beautiful song. Oh. I loved it. I totally grossed out and laughed myself to death (oh, the irony!) at the same time. Bloody brilliant (hah! The irony again, watch out - I'm on a roll!)

OOOOH. And then I came online just now, reading my e-mails - logging out of my account and when you do so you end up on www.msn.nl (well I do at least ;)) and then Hayden Christensen stares me in the face. (OH BLIMEY. This has got to be fate.) And there it is! The fifth movie on my list!

and waaay less whiney! Not saying all is better, but I am back at that point that I am capable of looking at things in a much more positive perspective! Which is good. Which is more like me! :)
And yes, I can say - the sunshine did help a lot!

But now, this year some great movies are coming out and I definetely want to watch ALL OF 'EM!

I quit my study. And now I feel empty. Wow, that's a sad thing to say - isn't it? I just don't know what to do. I have no idea on what to do whatsoever. I have no idea what I want to do with my life. No idea in which direction I should be looking. I just feel like I'm taking my hands off of the steering wheel, hoping that somehow I'll get to that place that brings me happiness.

Which I'm lacking lately. I feel like a non ambitious, lonely immature yet not childish girl. And that's driving me off my path and I just can't seem to find my path again.

I feel that no guy would ever be capable of loving me more than as his friend. I feel like I don't have a soulmate. I feel like I can't enjoy life simply because of the fact that there is a possibility that I might not have someone to grow old with. To have kids with. And that is utterly depressing me. Because family is what I love. It makes me feel safe and it makes me feel home.
I love my friends, but I feel like that's all gonna fade away. Like they'll leave me because they ARE capable of moving on with their lives. Of getting partners. Of taking that next step. Finding the right study. The right school. The right decisions to take. While all I do is make the wrong decision, over and over again.
I feel like I'm standing still, trying to please others with their lives so they can be happy. Which they are. And they move on. While I'm still in the same spot.

What can I do? *sigh* I don't know. There's no progression. I cry myself to sleep most nights. I don't feel like doing anything whatsoever. I just want to make icons. Play on my wii. Sit in my bedroom. Sleep. Shower. Listen to music.

I feel like I'm not me anymore.

I haven't been here in ages. Which is bad! Because you know, I'm all for using my livejournal. When I have the time! LOL

I started Uni :) Which is great but it keeps me very busy! (..Sigh. I don't like being busy all the time. I haven't made any icons/banners/wallpapers in like forever!)

A New Day Has Come

and I have no idea how to feel about it. Should I be happy? Should I be sad? *shrugs* I don't know how to feel I guess.

These last months of school, I sat in my class and all my classmates were on the same page when it came to school. Things were said along the lines of "Finally, away from this place" ... And all I could do was stare at them, eyes widened.. As a sign of my disbelief.

Because I couldn't believe it. Okay, homework wasn't always my favourite thing but I loved school. I loved the place. So many great things happened there, as I mentioned earlier and now it's going to be all gone.

I feel like the ground is falling away from beneath me and I don't like it. I want to be in control of things - but I can't.

So yes, the good news is that I've graduated. Which is great, I'm very proud of what I've achieved and of all the others whom I achieved it with. Granted, I may not be an A+ or 10/10 student, but I've done my best. I came, I saw and I conquered. I cannot describe my feelings to you when I walked on stage to write that autograph on my diploma and take it home with me. Six years I worked hard to get that little piece of paper, now I finally have it.

But is this what I want? Nah, if you're asking me.. I would stay in that place, and I would want all my classmates / yearmates to stay with me. We had fun. We were ambitious, but also crazy and in need of a little fun together. We could work hard but we could also be annoying as hell and just talk in class.

I remember chasing after my maths teacher through school only to end up outside of the school (FYI, yes I did get him), in front of a different class (of my year too) .. Where 26 pair of eyes were looking outside, widened. Yes, I did feel embarrassed .. But we all laughed about it. It was great.

It's just stuff like that, that I'm going to miss. You do not chase your University Professors around at college. That would be weird and totally uncalled for.

So here's to Pieter Groen College, 6vwo. May you lot, and okay the teachers too, be in my heart forever.

It's back! And downloading :) Waheeey!

Things are getting sort of in place. I've finally decided that I will study Linguistics. My grades of my last couple of exams are pretty okay so far. I've got an unexpected 8.5 out of 10 for French so THAT'S GREAT!
Yep, quite happy about that.

Now. On to that new chapter of life - after my final exams that is.

Or Yikes more likely. In seven weeks I'll be out of school.. Well - if all goes according to plan that is.
How weird will that be? I've been going to the place for six years and the environment is (okay, don't be freaking out right now) like a second home to me. After all, you do spend quite some days over at that place you know. And now, if I pass my exams (which I have all intention of doing) that will be over too. I will be going to the University (if I can pick out a study that I will like in time.. *sigh, rolls eyes*) and and and.. I'll have to be all grown up. YIKES!

I'll miss the place though. I'll miss the laughs we had over that place. The absolutely ridiculous things we had to do like Capoeira, a fighting sport but you can't touch each other?! and performing Antigone an old Greek play and of course, in our performance somehow everything went wrong. We had great laughs about that. Yep that was fun. Hanging around in school all day, music loud in the assembly room (aula for dutch people) and just playing soccer, telling stories - watching other people work hard to get the lighting quite right. (Hey, I was one of the actresses - I was acting like the diva - t was part of the job of course!)

Yeah. That's going to be all over. Wow. Scary.

However, until that time it will be studying hard. I will have my fair share of oral exams this week. Starting with Dutch literature - which will be hell. Followed by normal exams .. Biology (YIKES) and well, a stupid Dutch subject (Even more YIKES!) ... Friday by oral exam Art (History) about *sigh* a guy named Albrecht Durer (I couldn't care the smallest bit, I'M NOT INSENSITIVE. I just couldn't.) Then work. Which can be fun with all foreign people passing me, who will be helping them with my friendly smile. LOL.
And then we'll have History and I think it was German, Tuesday errrr.. or THREE HOURS OF MATHS EXAM!!! and French oral exam (Oui bonjour, excusez-moi, mais je ne parle pas francais.. d'accord, peut-etre un petit peu. D'accord, peut-etre je parle francais mieux que l'allemand) and then at LAST my english oral exam - which is probably saving the best for last ( I hope I didn't just jinx myself with that one )...

And well.. German literature - God save me!
Nah, He'll help me hopefully :).

Anyways, better be back to studying right now. I'll have to do actually do that if I want to get some sufficient grades!!

Went to the hospital today and got some nasty injections to get rid of (for as much as possible) scar tissue and dayumn! That hurt. Buuuut I was suuuch a braaveee lil girl, I got through it and hey! I didn't even cry!

Went shopping afterwards, and of course when you intend to not buy anything - you come home with a bag full. lol.

And then I had to ride home through the rain! YEY ME!
But it was a fine day though :)
